• Provide immediate crisis support, intervention and referrals for victims of crimes or personal tragedies
  • Liaison between victim, police, coroner's office, the criminal justice system and community support agencies
  • Attempt to meet the needs identified by the victim
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement in a non-judgemental manner

  • Assistance in completing Victim Impact Statements
  • Assistance for applying for Crown Victim Assistance
  • Information on basic court processes
  • Information on the Victim of Crime Act and basic victim rights
  • Information about bail conditions, probation, parole, and other court orders
  • Court orientation and court accompaniment
